Heritage Line’s Jayavarman, Jahan and Anawrahta are the finest boutique luxury river cruise ships in Southeast Asia that marry avant-garde French colonial design with enchanting Indochinese architecture. The ships cater to the adventurous traveler who wishes to explore untouched areas of Southeast Asia on a Mekong River cruise, as well as its main cities.

On Jahan or Jayavarman, you’ll cruise between Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, and Phnom Penh, Cambodia, including a visit to Siem Reap and the incredible treasures of Angkor. Your stopovers will include floating markets and fishing villages, attending a Vietnamese cooking class, bike trips, excursions to fishing tributaries, humanitarian trips and more. Mekong River cruises give you a chance to interact with local people in the rural communities of Vietnam and Cambodia during the day, and returning to the ship to be immersed in its luxury and comforts at night.

The ships feature 27 and 26 spacious cabins respectively, each with a private balcony and public space including a sun deck, a spa, a spacious restaurant serving Eastern and Western delicacies, two expansive lounges, an art gallery, a shop and library. The Jahan is a British-Indian Colonial-themed flagship. Each of the beautifully-appointed cabins has a private balcony. The large terrace deck includes a large pool, the Spa and Observatory Lounge, restaurant and East India Club bar. Jayavarman  melds avant-garde French Colonial style with with Khmer artifacts and architecture, and a sun deck with Jacuzzi. Spacious cabins include floor-to-ceiling sliding-glass windows and private outdoor balcony.

On the Anawrahta, you cruise on Myanmar's Irrawaddy (Ayeyarwady), in one of 23 spacious luxury cabins on the newest ship on this river. Each cabin features a private balcony and a 1:1 guest to staff ratio, as well as a very low draft that will enable the ship to better navigate the river in the dry season, when other boats often are stuck or have to dock.

Southeast Asia is a special part of the world not to be missed, and a river cruise is one wonderful and relaxing way to explore it. With a choice of itineraries from two to seven nights, Mekong river cruises are a great component to include as part of your trip to Southeast Asia.
