Costa Rica Resorts: Kioro, The Springs & Punta Islita

Hotel Kioro

If views are what you’re after, the Arenal Kioro is tough to top. The hotel’s developers used a laser to align each room with the volcano, so there’s not a bad view in the house. (Though the views from the second floor are slightly better than views from the first floor.) Even better, there’s no risk of future development marring the outlook, because the hotel abuts Arenal Volcano National Park. The hotel makes the most of not only the views, but the entire natural setting. Part of the lobby is open-air, overlooking green hills; there’s an outdoor area off of the restaurant; and every room has not one, but two terraces. Walked the grounds, stone paths wind through lush landscaping, and waterfalls connect seven small pools filled with natural thermal waters.

Great for honeymooners we had a great buffet dinner and then enjoyed the Hot springs.

The Springs Resort & Spa

After a long winding uneventful road off the main road, we arrived at the resort with wide eyes and an impressive entrance. Feeling like a true resort and not a rustic lodge or a rugged mountain mineral retreat.

Perfect Resort for honeymooners! This place is awe-inspiring! The resort itself is extremely beautiful and majestic and when combined with the incredible landscape and views of the volcano. These include the infinity pools that have the hottest water and the best view of any hot spring in Arenal. Below them, there’s a cascade flowing into a free-form landscaped rock beach where guests can wade in the shallow waters or suntan in the nearby deckchairs. Had cocktails and a delicious dinner

Punta Islita

Punta Islita is on a hillside overlooking a gorgeous small private beach area. A couples retreat with guaranteed secluded privacy. The resort is made suites and junior suite with private plunge pools or Jacuzzis as well as 2 to 4 bedroom villas all with their own private pools.

It is perfect for Honeymooners and romantic getaways. They have their own private beach club where romantic dinners on the beach can be arranged. The small surfing town of Islita is nearby with some quaint restaurants and boutiques.

Zip lining is also just a short walk from the hotel and offers 7 easy lines with canopy views.

This is the perfect ending to any Costa Rica Honeymoon.
