Costa Rica Resorts & Romance: Part 3

sloths are at home in Costa Rica's Manuel Antonio park

Our Honeymoons and Destination Weddings TravelStore team continued our visit to fabulous Costa Rica, and I chose to write up two standout resorts.

My recent visit to SI COMO NO Resort, Spa & Wildlife Refuge was very memorable. Barefoot Luxury is a perfect way to describe this resort. I was very surprised at how intimate Si Como No was, making it an excellent choice for honeymooners.  Surrounded by lush tropical rainforest and a beautiful beach nearby, Si Como No is a perfect location from which to explore Manuel Antonio National Park, a must-see experience for sloth, Capuchin & Howler monkeys.

One thing that stood out for me at Si Como No resort was the lack of any T.V’s in the room. Couples can really detox from technology and relax and truly experience the sounds of nature. The resort has only 58 rooms with an adult pool overlooking the jungle and the ocean. Another surprise was Si Como No's very own 30-acre private wildlife refuge, which features a butterfly garden, reptile & crocodile farm.

A private guide can be easily arranged at the resort for a day of adventure at the Manuel Antonio National Park. We can arrange various wedding packages at the hotel, and couples can choose either a tropical Costa Rica beach wedding or Jungle Terrace Costa Rica wedding.  After a day of adventure, I recommend treating yourself to a SPA treatment, and, if you must, perhaps a movie at the resorts Big Screen Movie Theatre.  I am sure popcorn can be arranged!

Hotel Royal Corin impressed me the moment I walked in the lobby. This hotel is excellent for those couples who want a resort type atmosphere with beautiful accommodations and a perfect location from which to explore Arenal. Thanks to the architecture of the hotel, all 54 rooms have majestic views of the Arenal Volcano, which is truly amazing; after al,l Arenal is one of the highlights in this area.

I love the fact that Hotel Royal Corin is very eco-friendly with a thermal water pool, a wonderful Loto Spa and beautifully landscaped garden that compliments the resort and its location. For active honeymooners, there are lots of activities to experience here including zip lining, rappelling, nature hikes, biking and rafting. The hotel restaurant is very elegant and a perfect place for a date night, and my food was amazing. The Lava Bar is a fun place to unwind in the evenings, with its unique style, great music, service and perfect view of the area.

This hotel is great for families as well.
