Leela Palace, Bangalore

My first stop on this India trip was Bangalore staying at the Leela Palace Bangalore.

India is known for offering traditional greetings when you arrive at your hotel, and the greeting at the Leela Palace was one of finest I have experienced. The hotel has a fleet of BMW’s that greeted our small group and swept us away to the hotel.

The Bangalore airport is located about an hour and half drive to the city and having a comfortable ride is important. Upon arrival we were met by the staff who knew us by name. How is that possible?

We were presented with the flower India lei, blessed upon entering the hotel and walked past the check-in desk to our rooms. At each room stood a young lady with a silver tray that had a welcome drink for us, and then we were given a tour of our gorgeous room.

The room is well appointed with a large bath that has a separate tub and shower and king bed, and they have balconies that look over the gardens of the hotel.

Next door to the hotel you will find great shopping and the hotel has four restaurants and one bar. Many of the locals dine at the hotel which has become the hot spot to dine in Bangalore.

Bangalore is a corporate city with many well-known tech companies having offices in the city. Whether you are visiting due to business or vacation, the hotel is an oasis in central Bangalore with its lovely gardens that are spread over nine acres.

I had the privilege of experiencing the spa and it was outstanding! It is just what you need after your long flight or a day of meetings.
