Abisko National Park
Sweden's Lapland
Abisko is located in the far northern reaches of Sweden’s Lapland. The National Park offers a multitude of experiences in all seasons, but the destination is particularly beloved for its exceptional Aurora Borealis viewing. Unforgettable experiences in the region may have you visiting a remote fishing village, zooming across snowy landscapes on a nighttime snowmobile tour, hiking early in the morning through a river canyon to spot reindeer and moose, and staying overnight at the world famous Icehotel!
The winter offers fantastic opportunity to chase the northern lights and pay a visit to the magical Icehotel. The area's wilderness and natural beauty take center stage, allowing visitors to hike, ice fish, ski, and wild camp.
In the summer and autumn, the national park comes alive with vibrant colors. Visitors can visit the Sami and meet reindeer in nearby Kiruna, chase the auroras, and sign up to take a landscape photography class!
