The Dining Room

The main Dining Room spans two floors and is framed by views of the sea. Its bright interior and modern design sets the stage for the exceptional culinary experience to come. Menus will reflect the latest signature dishes from the influential chefs who comprise Holland America's Culinary Council, along with classic favorites and regionally inspired cuisine.

Pinnacle Grill

The Pinnacle Grill represents the pinnacle of exceptional dining on board. Open for lunch or dinner, guests will enjoy dishes inspired by America's Pacific Northwest, including delicious seafood and choice, sustainably raised beef from Washington state's Double R Ranch. Meals can be beautifully complemented by boutique wines from the Pacific Northwest and other great global vintages.

Tamarind

Tamarind delights diners with exotic menus evoking the culinary traditions for Southeast Asia, China, and Japan. Located on the uppermost deck, providing stunning panoramic view, lunch menus include tantalizing items such as steamed dim sum and spicy crab, while dinner menus created by Master Chef Rudi Sodamin feature dishes honoring the elements of water, wood, fire, and earth.

Canaletto

Canaletto's innovative menu is designed around this authentic Italian experience, offering a variety of dishes to enjoy with family and friends. Share a taste of delicious zuppa di pesce, or savor classic Italian pasta in all shapes and sauces. Main dishes include veal, roasted pork loin, and grilled fish, followed by chocolate tortas, gelato, and a trio of tiramisu for dessert.

Dive-In

For a perfectly grilled burger on brioche, gourmet hot dog, or savory fries, there's no better place than Dive-In at The Terrace Grill, offering al fresco dining by the pool. Look for imaginative toppings and piquant sauces to enliven classic burgers and dogs, along with options such as grilled chicken sandwiches or a veggie-friendly portabella mushroom stack.

Queen's Lounge

The iconic Queen's Lounge has been completely re-imagined along the lines of a strikingly elegant theater. Spanning two floors, the Queen's Lounge will host the popular B.B. King's Blues Club, showcasing the sounds of Memphis performed by an eight-piece band and boasting the largest dance floor on the ship. By day, the beautiful room hosts presentations, speakers, and other activities, and can also accommodate special entertainment events. Come late night, the space transforms into a high-energy dance club fueled by state-of-the-art sound and special LED lighting effects.

Casino

From perennially popular slot machines and blackjack tables to the latest in sophisticated gaming, the casino is well-equipped and staffed with professionals eager to help guests learn new skills.

Holland America ships provide a wide variety of exciting youth and teen friendly activities and facilities for guests ages 3 to 17. With supervised fun for younger guests, the entire family can have the cruise vacation of their dreams.

All Club HAL

Club HAL

Children, ages 3-7*, can participate in such activities as pirate treasure hunts, hands-on pizza making, storytelling, "Little Artists" crafts, ice cream sundae parties, and a farewell pajama party.

*Please note: All children participating in Club HAL must be completely toilet trained. No diapers or pull

Club HAL

Tweens, ages 8-12, can take part in Xbox and Wii tournaments, relay races, scavenger hunts, and karaoke disco parties.

Club HAL

Teens, ages 13-17, can enjoy mocktail mixology classes, late night sporting competitions, teen yoga and hip hop classes, guys verses girls scavenger hunts, cooking demos, tech classes, and teen-only night club events. When there are more than 100 children on board, a HAL Talent Show is offered.

Kids & Teens Culinary Arts Center Program

HAL Kids Culinary Workshops now offer children a unique and fun learning experience. Kids will learn basic cooking techniques, kitchen safety, new ingredients, and how to follow recipe instructions. Aside from the fun involved, cooking encourages kids to think about numbers and measuring, cleanliness, safety, and time management. The Culinary Art Center is a place where questions are encouraged and having fun is a must.

HAL Kids Culinary Workshops are geared towards two age groups: ages 3-7 and ages 8-and-up. Teenagers aged 15-and-up may participate in the adult classes.

The menus range from simple to teen gourmet, and each student receives copies of the recipes prepared in class. All classes are complimentary and last approximately one hour.

Special Needs

HAL Youth Programs recognize that some children may have special needs.* Special needs children are invited to attend activities based on their chronological age. HAL Youth Programs have many staff members trained to work with special needs children. Guests should make HAL aware of this when booking their reservation to ensure that appropriate staff will be available.

*Adults that are not Youth Staff are not permitted to remain in the Youth Center unless attending to a child with special needs.
