5 Things We Loved at Rosewood Mandarina’s Toppu Restaurant, Mexico

1. The View:

Toppu sits high up on a mountain top, offering sweeping views of both the lush green valley and sparkling blue ocean. After spending a day lounging at the beach or taking one of the sweet horses out for a ride around the property, Toppu is a perfect spot to dress up and soak in the expansive views.

2. The Ambience

Our advisors enjoyed a private dining experience with a sunken, Japanese style long table. The private dining room is moody and warm with dark furnishes and cozy touches. Candles wrapped in cut glass are scattered around the room, adding an amber glow to the dining experience.

3. The Cocktails

At cocktail hour, the experience at Toppu is special and hard to beat. Award-winning mixologists Cristian and Luis hand-crafted delectable cocktails for our group with skill and panache. Can’t choose which drink to try? Leave the choice to the experts – you won’t regret it.

4. The Cuisine

Toppu’s chef designed the menu to blend Japanese tradition with inspired Mexican flavors. Our advisors enjoyed delectable nigiri, sushi, and red miso lamb cutlets, just to name a few of the shining stars on our tasting menu. For dessert, we recommend the finely sliced fresh fruit infused in a citrus broth and the pistachio custard.

5. The Service

Above all else, the service was impeccable. Our group of travel advisors was treated with the utmost care and attention to detail through the entire evening with every need, dietary restriction, and preference noted and considered.
