How CLEAR Works: CLEAR enables you to skip the two-step security process by verifying your identity biometrically in a CLEAR-only line. If you have CLEAR and also have TSA PreCheck or Global Entry, you are escorted to the front of the TSA PreCheck line for your final security screening, and not worry about removing your shoes and belts or items from your carry-on. However, if you do not have TSA PreCheck or Global Entry, you will still have to use the normal screening lines, which is why enrolling in both CLEAR and TSA PreCheck/Global Entry provides the most seamless airport security experience in the U.S. airports that are now set up with CLEAR.
