Travel Safety & Useful Resources
Health and safety protocols are all the more important today. Our lives seem ever more complicated. We seem to have so many more issues to deal with and concerns to worry about, so many more choices to make.
One reason you use a travel professional is to remove much of the worrying from your travels. While we serve as your travel advocates , you still need to take responsibility for your travels. The information below may be most useful.
Travel is important in generating positive benefits for local cultures and wildlife — like all things it has its downsides, too. We invite you to consider becoming a more responsible and respectful traveler and consider offsetting your carbon emissions (see below).
We Make Travel Better:
Booking With One Expert
Besides making it seamless, in today’s world trip planning is complicated. If something goes wrong, you want a professional who has access to your entire trip and has the expertise to fully assist.
Not all travel advisors are airfare experts — in fact, many leave flight booking to someone else. It’s important your travel agency can get you the best airfares and be proactive when problems occur.
Travel insurance is important for your well being and to protect your trip investment and includes medical evacuation, trip cancellation and interruption. You'll also get 24/7 concierge access.
Who You Gonna Call?
Our travel advisor is your advocate when something goes wrong. Depending on your trip, we provide in-country contacts and you can reach your travel advisor on the road via our Pocket Travel app.
Important Travel Considerations
Terms & Conditions
While TravelStore’s advisors are always willing to share their guidance and opinion, each traveler has to make their own decision, whether to travel or not on any particular trip, based on their personal comfort level.
Terms & Conditions apply to every trip, and it is important that you understand TravelStore’s and those of individual suppliers (airlines, hotels, ground transport and tour operators) whose services you may be booking, and what penalties come into play if you need to change or cancel any arrangements.
As part of our procedures, we require all our clients to review and provide their acceptance of the Terms & Conditions applicable to their trip. Please ask your travel advisor if you require any clarification, as each component of a custom-designed trip may have its own terms. Click to review these.
Travel insurance is a “must have” for most travelers. Each year we have clients that unfortunately need to process claims for tens of thousands of dollars on medical and evacuation costs.
Travel insurance can cover penalties should you have to change or cancel your travel plans, and be your 24/7 lifeline while traveling. Common problems can include an illness in the family, a missed flight connection, lost wallet or passport, or sprained ankle.
Of many options we suggest TravelEx, a leading provider. Your plan also provides 24/7 travel concierge access for emergency medical services, assistance, ground transport, restaurant recommendations and reservations, tickets to events, golf course referrals and tee times. Review services

Passports & Visas
When traveling outside of the USA (includes Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean!), US citizens must be in possession of a passport valid for at least six months beyond their return to the US.
Passports issued for adults are valid for ten years (five years for children). For more information about passports, visit travel.state.gov or call the National Passport Center toll free at (888) 874-7793. While passports can be secured on a last-minute basis for an additional cost, we recommend you plan ahead and apply early for a new or renewal passport.
Some countries also require US citizens to obtain a visa. While some visas can be procured when you arrive at your destination, many others must be acquired in advance and may take some time to have issued and require your passport.
