Business Travel: Safety & Useful Resources

Health and safety protocols are all the more important today than they used to be. Our lives seem ever more complicated.  We seem to have so many more issues to deal with and concerns to worry about, so many more choices to make.

One reason you use a travel professional is to remove much of the worrying from your travels. While we serve as your travel advocates , you still need to take responsibility for your travels. The information below may be most useful.

How we make travel better:

Booking with one expert

Besides making it seamless, in today’s world trip planning is far more complicated. If something goes wrong, you want a professional who has access to your entire trip. We have the expertise in all elements of your trip.

Airfare Expertise

Not all travel advisors are airfare experts — in fact, many leave flight booking to someone else. It’s important your travel advisor not only can get you best airfares, but can be proactive when problems occur.

Travel Protection

It’s more important than ever to have protection if things go wrong, whether that means personal safety or protecting your financial investment with travel insurance, including medical evacuation, trip cancellation and interruption. Plus you'll also get 24/7 concierge access.

Who you gonna' call?

Our travel advisor is the only resource you need if something goes wrong. Depending on your trip, we can provide in-country contacts to assist, as well as 24/7 concierge services with travel insurance, and you can reach your travel advisor on the road via our Pocket Travel app.

Important Travel Considerations

Terms & Conditions

While TravelStore’s advisors are always willing to share their guidance, each traveler has to make their own decision, whether to travel or not to a destination, based on their personal comfort level.

TravelStore as well as each supplier (airlines, hotels, ground transport and tour operators) have Terms & Conditions that apply, and it is important you understand them, and what penalties apply if you need to change or cancel any arrangements.

Travel Insurance

Each year we see clients that need to process claims for tens of thousands of dollars on medical and evacuation costs. Travel insurance is a “must have” for travelers. It can cover penalties if you have to change or cancel travel plans and be your 24/7 lifeline while traveling. Common problems can include an illness in the family, a missed flight connection, lost wallet or passport, or sprained ankle.

Of many options we suggest TravelEx, a leading provider. Your plan provides 24/7 travel concierge access for emergency medical services, roadside assistance, ground transport, restaurant reservations, event ticketing, golf course referrals and tee times. Review services>>

Passports & Visas

When traveling outside of the USA (includes Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean!), US citizens must be in possession of a passport valid for at least six months beyond their return to the US.

Passports issued for adults are valid for ten years (five for children). For more information visit travel.state.gov or call the National Passport Center at (888) 874-7793. While passports can be secured on a last-minute basis for an added cost, do plan ahead and apply early.

Some countries also require US citizens to obtain a visa. Some visas must be acquired in advance and may take some time to have issued and require your passport. For support with your passport or visa needs, click the arrow>>

While travel insurance policies (as offered above) offer emergency evacuation coverage, such service requires the traveler to be hospitalized. MedJet offers a membership program for evacuation services on a medically-staffed aircraft. Covac Global addresses the concern travelers have about avoiding quarantine overseas should they feel symptoms of Covid and are not hospitalized.

Global Entry

International travelers know delays can occur in Customs and Immigration when re-entering the United States. Global Entry is a government program enabling pre-approved, low-risk travelers to skip long lines and utilize automated Global Entry kiosks at certain airports.
