Bora Bora, The Romantic Island

Each of the Society Islands has its own unique character. After learning about Bora Bora’s incredible beauty, I had an opportunity visit the island for the first time last year as a guest of Hilton Resorts.

After spending couple of nights in Moorea, my adventure continued to Bora Bora. The flight from Moorea to Bora Bora is only 45 minutes, and you have an aerial view of the beautiful over water bungalows below. This was just amazing!

I stayed 2 nights at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort which is a short boat ride from the airport. My accommodation was a deluxe over water bungalow; the room was absolutely gorgeous, perfect for a couple celebrating their anniversary, honeymoon or a romantic getaway. These rooms are the farthest from the main lobby, with an incredible view of the ocean.

The next day I went on a 4 x 4 circle island tour. This tour provides breathtaking views of the island from a mountain peak, and some breathtaking experiences along very challenging and bumpy roads, and steep climb up the mountain. The tour includes snacks and drinks as well. For adventure lovers, hop on this tour, you will absolutely love it.

Bora Bora’s beauty is incredible, and it is fitting she is crowned the Romantic Island here. As an amateur photographer, I fell in love with this island. It is a perfect setting for incredible photography.

Back at the resort, dinner at the Black Rock is a perfect location for a romantic candle lit dinner under the stars. (I highly recommend couples to plan a private romantic dinner at least once during their trip.)

On my last day we spent the day on Motu Tapu, the private island owned by Hilton Nui. This island is minutes away from the resort. It’s a great way to end your vacation on Bora Bora with a day sunbathing, snorkeling and having a picnic or romantic dinner before your return home.
