Seychelles and South Africa Honeymoon

Our Seychelles and South Africa honeymoon was AMAZING!

We are finally getting back into reality again. Everything was planned so well and we couldn’t have asked for a better time. Seychelles is a hidden gem of East Africa. It truly is a magical place that is not commercialized so it is pure paradise.

Our at room at Raffles had an amazing view. We went to La Digue one day and were biking around and stopped at a beach and saw five different shades of water right in front of us, so we just got off and went into the water.

The beaches are so soft and white and we’ve never experienced that. We had a private dinner on the beach one night at Raffles, which was great. The service at the resort was impeccable and everyone was so friendly.

Savanna Lodge was our favorite place. We were so impressed with the food, the service and the game viewing. We got lucky because our Ranger was Paddy Hagelthorn, who was also the manager at Savanna. We saw the Big 5 on our first game drive. We were so close to so many different animals.

We saw wild dogs, which were rare to see, and saw lion cubs and leopard cubs. It was amazing how close we were to so many animals.

In our vehicle there was a couple from San Francisco who was visiting Savanna for the second time. They had been to other lodges in Sabi Sands as well as in Kenya, Botswana, and Tanzania, and Savanna was their favorite.

The lodge had local school children come sing and dance for us one night in the boma and another night we had dinner in the old rail car. The food was so fresh and good all the time. Every time I finished drinking something my glass was refilled without me even asking for it. We were especially sad leaving Savanna.

Cape Town was our final destination before coming home. It reminded me of San Francisco a little bit because of the proximity of the wine lands and the hills and Bays. We went to Table Mountain and saw Cape of Good Hope on the first day.

On the second day we went to Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Paarl for a day trip. We went to an organic winery which had the best white wine we ever had.

We saw the prison Nelson Mandela was released from which was pretty powerful.

Our driver, Brian, was the same for both day excursions and he was so passionate and really showed us around Cape Town. We were taken care of really well by everyone.

All our transfers were always on time.

All of your recommendations were all amazing and thank you again for working with me to plan our

South Africa and Seychelles honeymoon.

I could not have asked for a better time.
