Uniworld Offers Mekong River Cruises

We’ve been writing about Mekong River cruise itineraries for a while, because we saw the great potential. River cruises have been seeing a huge growth in travel, and it was only a matter of time that popular Nile river cruises and European river cruises would expand to new markets.

We’ve profiled the growth of Heritage Line and Ama Waterways, who will each be adding a second ship to this destination in the next year. While not known well in the US, Pandaw River Cruises has also been operating ships here.

Now Uniworld is jumping into the market, announcing it will operate a 60-passenger river cruise ship here, called River Saigon and built by Pandaw, starting in January. Uniworld plans to operate a 14-day itinerary that includes the seven-night Mekong River cruise between Saigon and Siem Reap, combined with a seven-night land tour
