We’ve blogged about the Mekong river cruise, one of the “hottest” new river cruise destinations. There’s a growing demand for exotic cruises, and Mekong River cruises offer a comfortable and engaging way to explore the heart of Cambodia and Vietnam.

In the last couple of years, several new river cruise ships have been built for this destination. And at the end of October, yet another new river cruise was launched. The Jahan is sister to the luxury river cruise ship, Jayavarman, both operated by Heritage Cruise Lines.

(One of our favorite suppliers for Southeast Asia is a partner in the venture.) Itineraries are 3-, 4- and 8-days and make for an ideal addition to a land package in Asia.

The luxurious vessel offers superior staterooms as well as jacuzzi-equipped suites, and each cabin has its own private balcony. Better still, there are just 26 cabins, providing a very private small ship experience.
