Royal Caribbean Sweeps Cruise Industry Awards

Each year the major industry trade publications assign awards to cruise lines, and Royal Caribbean cruise line swept half a dozen categories in the recent Travel Weekly awards. Royal Caribbean earned the top spot for “cruise line, overall” as well as “cruise line, domestic” and “cruise line, Caribbean.” Royal Caribbean also won in the category of “cruise line, sales and service,” and the line’s new Oasis of the Seas swept the categories of “cruise ship, rookie” and “cruise ship, overall.”

The acknowledgment seems to be mirrored by the growth in business we’ve seen with this mainstream cruise line. And Oasis of the Seas and the newer Allure of the Seas, as the world’s newest and largest cruise ships, have been getting rave reviews from our customers and our agents that have cruised on them.

Royal Caribbean’s sister company, Celebrity Cruises, won in the categories of “cruise line, premium” and “cruise line, Europe.” We’ve long been fans of Celebrity, and their new Solstice-class ships are a very welcome addition to premium cruise lines. Celebrity’s groundbreaking, two-year-old Celebrity Solstice took home the award for “cruise ship, premium.”
