Egypt Contour Map

The Great Pyramid of Giza rises 480 feet into the Egyptian sky. You’ve seen it hundreds of times in photos, but as you stand in its shadow, you’re completely in awe. To think that men built this without our technology 5,000 years ago is nothing short of amazing. The call of the muezzin interrupts the city’s sounds and affirms you are in an ancient place.

Introduction
The riches of the Egyptian Museum invite you to learn the stories buried throughout this country and still being unearthed, while at monumental Abu Simbel and Temple of Karnak you feel invisible to the towering sculptures and columns. Below the surface, the Red Sea offers fabulous coral and shipwrecks to explore. A Nile River cruise is a wonderful and relaxing way to visit the ancient monuments, tombs and sites on an Egypt tour. With the heat of the day, you'll relish the breeze during your cruise, and the comforts onboard. It is important to book the right boat that offer good cuisine and quality guides. We can arrange your trip.
Climate
The best time to visit Egypt is between the months of October and April, when temperatures are a bit cooler. This is also the prime tourist season. Our summer months (May to September) are rather hot, though the air is drier. Because is Egypt is hot year around, a Nile river cruise is a good option because you can catch a breeze at times cruising the river in between site visits.
Egyptian cuisine
A number of dishes are common to the Middle East area, though Egypt, like all countries, often has its own spin on things. Aish baladi is a fluffy pita-type bread commonly served and good for eating with. Beans are commonly used, and you can’t go wrong with a healthy bowl of Fuul Medames. In Egyptian version of Falafel is ta’ameya, made with fava beans instead of chickpeas. Koshary is a hodge-podge national dish made with macaroni, chickpeas, lentils and rice, topped with tomato sauce and fried onions. (Other versions can include meat.) Fish sayadiyan is seasoned white fish that's pan-fried before baking with a sauce from onion, bell pepper and tomato. Kebabs dishes include kaba wa kofta made from ground lamb, beef, onion, garlic and spices. Top off your meal with Om Ali, a dessert of phyllo dough and a blend of almonds, raisins, pistachios, coconut, milk and cream, sprinkled with cinnamon and baked. Delicious!
