AmaWaterways Introduces The New AmaVerde

The principals of AmaWaterways have been around the travel business a long while and know the ins and outs of river cruises — after all they pioneered much of it. The company has assembled an amazing group of talent that has parlayed AmaWaterways to its premier position in the fast growing river cruises vacation market. Let us know if you’ve been on an Ama Waterways cruise and what you thought!

This month Ama Watereways launches its latest and most cutting edge new ship, AmaVerde, on the Danube River. Not unlike Uniworld’s new Antoinette (see future post), also commencing service the same date this month on the Rhine, these ships are game changers.

Like the AmaBella, its one-year-old sister, AmaVerde offers “twin balcony” cabins that include both a full step-out balcony and a French balcony. However, the ship also offers multiple dining venues, including a wine and tapas venue; a library with a faux fireplace; and a heated swimming pool up top. Cabins and suites are among the largest found on European river cruises, ranging from 170 to 325 square feet.

But if you’re eager to experience this fabulous new river cruise boat, you’re going to have to wait a bit. The AmaVerde is chartered till October — but we can make your arrangements after that date, or for any other AmaWaterways cruise though our river cruise experts.
