Seabourn Cruise to Alaska

A couple of months ago I was able to savor my first cruise with Seabourn, to the Baltic.

Seabourn has a great history, and it was one of the very few ultra-luxury lines when it first launched, featuring small, boutique luxurious ships with great cuisine and great European-style service. Today while competition has grown, it is still a luxurious boutique small ship line with a casual style, and features a new class of ships. (It’s original ships, which didn’t have balconies, were sold to and are now operating under the Windstar banner.

Truth be told, in the last year cruise lines have had to look carefully at their itinerary planning, taking into consideration that some travelers have concerns about international trips.

Not that international travel is any less safe than our own “backyard,” but clearly interest in traveling closer to home is currently seeing a rise in interest, while cruising in Europe has been, at the moment, a bit challenged.

(The good news for travelers, however, is there are some fabulous cruise deals available to Europe).

That means there will be more cruise product closer to home next year. When it comes to Seabourn, the good news is Seabourn will be back with Alaska cruises, with 11, 12 and 14-day itineraries from Vancouver.

This is exciting, not only to have a Seabourn luxury boutique ship in Alaska, but also to be able to take advantage of their zodiac and kayak excursions.

I was peeking through the itineraries and also noted an 11-day, one-way cruise from Vancouver to Los Angeles Oct 3rd, which is an interesting option. You can search for available Alaska Seabourn cruises HERE.

Of course, Seabourn’s ships cruise in all seven continents, including their very popular Antarctica cruises.

As we have additional exclusive amenities to offer to our Seabourn travelers, don’t miss out on these, and check with your TravelStore consultant. We have a live feed on our website from Seabourn, so you can check voyage options and our exclusive amenities on our Seabourn cruises page.
