Sheraton Maui, Ka’anapali Beach

The 23-acre Sheraton Maui has one of the better beaches in Kaanapali. The beach ends at Black Rock (popular snorkeling area at Kaanapali) so you feel like you have your own private beach area on property. The hotel has a simple open lobby area, easy access to the pool area, restaurant and beach. The pool area is spacious, you don’t feel like you are on top of the other beach chairs at the pool. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

There are various buildings to the property and the fitness center is at the (quite) far end of one wing. Restaurants facilities are limited. There is no spa, but limited day spa services are available. Valet parking is free the first day (nice touch), and we were given discount vouchers for lunch and free drink when we checked in at 1 pm and rooms were not ready.

Rooms are large and well- appointed and the heavenly beds are very comfortable. Their room renovations are seamless, as they are renovating a floor at a time. There are not any interruptions or noise. Of particular note here are the spacious junior deluxe suites that have ocean views, two plasma tvs, the ability to close off the sitting area and bedroom (great for families), large sitting area, large bathrooms with double sinks, and a fold up Murphy bed for families,

They have a beautiful 2 bedroom suite (great for weddings). It has a huge wrap around lanai at the point of the resort with a great view. They also have connecting rooms that are great for families. Connecting rooms are not guaranteed, on-request only. Kids under 12 eat free at selected restaurants.Kids programs for a fee
