The Ranakpur Jain temple, built in the 15th century, takes up 48,000 square feet and features 29 rooms and 1,444 pillars. Carved from amber the holy site is considered among India’s finest amber carvings. On 24 porticoes surrounding the temple are bells that resonate in the breeze surrounding the complex with a beautiful sound.
