The Cape Horn is the southernmost piece of land in the world, located on the Tierra del Fuego archipelago of southern Chile, on the small Hornos Island. One Chilean army representative lives there for a year with his family. A giant sculpture of an albatross guards the tiny island, and it is possible to mail yourself a postcard from there saying that you were there! A short window of time is allowed in the morning to step onto the island due to the tide.
