Giving training to more than 150 local women, the Iraq Al-Amir Women Cooperative Society is a women-led handicrafts organization in Wadi As-Seir. Its Handicrafts Village is a big part of the organization, designed to conserve the local environment and architecture while teaching skills in making handicrafts. These skills give the girls and women who learn these skills a better opportunity of getting employed.
