The Ghan crosses the Australian continent north to south transporting travelers between Darwin and Adelaide through Alice Springs and the continent’s Red Centre all the way to Melbourne. The Indian Pacific crosses east to west, between Perth and Adelaide and Sydney, through the picturesque and fertile Avon Valley and gold fields around Kalgoorlie, across the vast, desert of the Nullarbor Plains, and the magnificent Blue Mountains.

Background

Soaring over the incredible natural amphitheater of Wilpena Pound, the 1060-meter high peak of Mount Aleck and the Elder Range beside and below you. The light will begin to change as you land at your exclusive swag camp for the evening, a place that will give you an opportunity to connect with your surroundings. The next day, return to the homestead via a two-hour safari drive to view the best of the morning wildlife with a beautiful brunch back at the homestead. The remainder of today is at leisure to enjoy the activities available in and around the homestead.
