Join your Aboriginal guide and discover the captivating history of the people and plants associated with the oldest botanic gardens in Australia.  Enjoy a traditional “welcome ceremony” before taking a two-hour walking tour through the Royal Botanic Gardens. Discover the ancient history of the bush and “Caring for Country.” Over morning tea, you’ll taste some of Drew’s family’s traditional recipes as well as contemporary creations using native ingredients such as lemon myrtle, wattle seed, and macadamia nut oil. Then visit an authentic Aboriginal Art Gallery to view art sourced from some of the most remote native communities in the county. Stop for lunch at Coogee Beach, giving you the chance to taste some of Sydney’s fresh and gourmet delights.

Your guide, Drew, is an Australian Aboriginal man born in Gadigal country. He is from the Arakwal language group of the Bundjalung Nation from the Northern Rivers. As a well- respected story-teller, Drew shares his wealth of knowledge that was passed down to him, teaching that culture is holistic, defined by its connection to family, community, and country. Gain an insight into native flora with a focus on Indigenous bushfood.
