Dover - Historic Castles of Kent - Full Day Tour

Leeds Castle

A magnificent, small and charming, medieval castle built on two small islands in a lake in 500 acres of pretty parkland and gardens, providing a beautiful setting.  This little castle is an English gem.
Medieval interior decoration, furnishings, tapestries and paintings transport you back in time. Listed in the Domesday Book, Leeds Castle has been a Norman stronghold, a Royal Residence for six of England's medieval Queens, so became known as the Ladies Castle, and it was one of the Palaces of Henry VIII.

Dover Castle

Set high above the famous white cliffs, Dover Castle boasts a colourful and fascinating history. Re-live the turbulent war years as you discover the labyrinth of Secret Wartime Tunnels built deep within the cliffs. Walk through the rooms where Admiral Sir Bertram Ramsay planned the “miracle of Dunkirk” and tour the underground hospital as you follow the story of a wounded wartime pilot. With centuries of history to explore, above ground don’t miss the recently refurbished Admiralty Lookout, where you can learn about the techniques used to detect enemy ships and even try your hand at Morse code!
