Discover the Jewish history of Amsterdam; Portuguese synagoge and the former Jewish quarter and the Resistance Museum.
(Jewish Historical Museum daily opened from 11.00-17.00 hr except on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), Portuguese Synagoge opened from Sunday till Thursday 10.00-17.00 hr, Friday 10.00 -16.00 hr, Saturday closed for sabbat).

- A visit to the Jewish Historical Museum; the museum has been housed in a complex of four former Ashkenazic synagogues, built between 1671 and 1752. The museum owns a magnificent collection of special objects.
- A visit to “The Esnoga” or the Portuguese synagogue, built in 1675, which is situated at the Jonas Daniël Meijerplein just opposite the Jewish Historical Museum. In this complex you will explore the “Treasuries”; very special ceremonial objects and a part of the famous library Ets Haïm-Livraria Montezinos which can only be visited by appointment.

Broek In Waterland (4 hours)
In the surroundings of Amsterdam there are many beautiful and typical Dutch villages, which are definitely worth a visit. During this tour you will visit Marken with its traditional green painted houses, taste smoked eel at fisherman’s village Monnickendam and enjoy the wonderful Dutch scenery at Broek In Waterland.
Highlights:
- Monnickendam, this small town is situated on a former island and is located near the IJssellake. It is a lovely place to visit and has many special featureslike its houses on pillars, the traditional greenpainted houses and folkloristic customs and clothing's.
- Explore Monnickendam; This town is a former fisherman's village and has an interesting history. During the city walk you will for instance see the beautiful City Hall and 'De Waag' a place where they used to weigh the ship loadings coming in from overseas.
- Enjoy Broek-in-Waterland; situated in the beautiful “Waterland” area. During the 17e and 18e century this village was one of the most prosperous villages in this area. Many ship owners, captains and merchants used to settle here. Famous people like the French philosopher Victor Hugo, the emperor Alexander of Russia and Napoleon visited this small village.

- Explore Vincent’s birthplace Zundert in the south of Holland (1h15 min drive). Here your will be met by a Van Gogh Expert to pass by the Van Gogh house, the church of Zundert and the graveyard.
- Discover the village of Nuenen, known most of all for Vincent's first large painting, “The Potato Eaters”, the original can be found in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
- Follow in the footsteps of Van Gogh by visiting some of the 21 locations in the village of Nuenen with links to his life. See the highlights of the two years he spent in Nuenen. This was the last place where Vincent lived and painted before departing for Belgium and France.
